Score Anything! privacy policy

Last updated 15 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Zoey Ventures, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with Score Anything!(the “App”), a board-game score keeping app published for iOS, Android, and the web. Our website is covered separately by the Zoey Ventures privacy policy.

The short version

  • The App has no accounts and no backend. Everything you enter — game scores, player names, saved groups, and settings — is stored only on your own device. We do not have a server that receives, stores, or can see that information.
  • The App uses a third-party service, Sentry, to collect anonymous crash and performance diagnostics so we can find and fix bugs. This is configured to exclude personally identifying information by default.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Data stored on your device

Score Anything! keeps all of your content — active and saved game sessions, player names, reusable player groups, scores, and app settings — in local storage on your device. This data never leaves your device to reach us, because the App has no backend server and no login. If you uninstall the App, or clear its data, that information is permanently deleted.

Crash and performance diagnostics (Sentry)

To keep the App stable, we use Sentry (sentry.io) to collect diagnostic information automatically when the App runs. Sentry acts as our data processor. Specifically:

  • When it runs: Diagnostics are collected only in the released (production) version of the App. They are disabled in development builds.
  • What is collected: Error and crash reports (including stack traces and technical breadcrumbs of what the App was doing), basic performance and app-startup timing, and technical device context such as device model, operating-system version, and App version.
  • Session Replay: Sentry may record a masked playback of the on-screen activity around a crash, or for a small sample of sessions, so we can reproduce problems. By default this masks text and images, so it is intended to capture how the interface behaved — not the specific content you typed.
  • What is not collected: We have configured Sentry so that it does not attach personally identifying information such as your IP address, precise user identity, or cookies to these reports (sendDefaultPii is disabled).
  • Feedback: If you choose to send us feedback through an in-app feedback form, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide, so we can respond and fix the issue.

Sentry processes this data on our behalf, on servers in the United States. You can read how Sentry handles data in the Sentry Privacy Policy and its documentation on data collected.

App stores

You download the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those stores are operated by Apple and Google, who collect their own information — such as download, purchase, and crash statistics — under their own privacy policies. We may see aggregate, de-identified statistics from them, but we do not receive your individual store account details from this.

Children

The App is a general-audience score keeping tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because game content stays on the device and diagnostics are configured to exclude identifying information, we do not build user profiles.

How long we retain your data

  • App content lives on your device for as long as you keep it there; uninstalling or clearing the App removes it.
  • Crash and diagnostic datain Sentry is retained according to Sentry’s default retention periods — generally up to 90 days for most event data — and then deleted.

What rights you have over your data

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA — you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

  • To delete the App’s content, simply uninstall the App or clear its data on your device — we cannot access it, so only you can.
  • For diagnostic data held in Sentry, or any feedback you sent us, contact us and we will delete it where we are able, except where we are obliged to keep it for legal, security, or administrative reasons.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Who we share your data with

We share data only with the service providers described above — principally Sentry (crash and performance diagnostics) and the Apple App Store and Google Play (distribution) — each acting under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

Where your data is sent

Diagnostic data collected by the App may be processed on Sentry’s servers in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
